Hi
whenever you are planning to buy a property abroad, do get yourself a lawyer, preferably one that lives in the area which you are buying the property.Make sure you always have everything in writing, this is why you need a lawyer, if you have that I dont see you having any problems. I live in Greece and getting a lawyer is the only way to do business.Never ever trust anyone that is willing to help you, a friendly local etc, Im sure they are genuine, its better to be safe than sorry. Is there a big risk involved in buying property in turkey. Any advice or tips would be well appreciated.?

Yes, a huge risk. Go in prepared to lose your money if something bad happens...
I don't think that there is a big risk involved in buying property in Turkey when you buy your property through a reputable real estate agency which has also offers connections to a lawyer that is recommended by the British Embassy Izmir (on their website). There are several criteria that show if you can trust an agency or not and I know a very good website where all this is listed as well as a trustworthy, reliable agency at the Lycian coast. I've been in that region myself several times and it is very, very beautiful there, especially the beach of Sarigerme. The price of the properties there has doubled in 2006 and this trend seems continue. The region is still being developed for tourism and you can still make good deals when buying properties but as soon as the golf course will be finished in 2009, houses and apartments will become very expensive. It is planned to turn this region into a first class tourism region with only 4 and 5 star hotels. I was in Sarigerme last month and I could send you some of the photos I took there if you want to.
I don't know if it would be considered advertising if I gave you the name of the agency or the link I mentioned here but feel free to send me an email and I'll send you the information.
Hey I just saw that someone else on yahoo answers posted a link to a real estate agency he recommends so I think I can do the same:

Im planning a trip to germany in '10 or '11. any advice or tips would be helpful?
ok so im from NY and this will be my first big trip and essentially i dont even know where to begin or what to expect, ive flown in a plane before but i was like 5 or 6 so its been about 15 years and i know that things have definitely changed on that aspect and the only other country ive been to is Canada. so any advice about things in Germany or traveling internationally would be super helpful, thanks in advanceIm planning a trip to germany in '10 or '11. any advice or tips would be helpful?
Get a good guidebook for independent travel, Rick Steves, Rough Guide, Let's Go or Lonely Planet are good.
Most of the info you need is in these guidebooks, rent a few from your local library and read them carefully cover to cover. When you leave make sure your copy is not older than 2 years, as information in guidebooks is quickly outdated. Buy a new one if necessary, they are not that expensive.
You'll need a passport and a lot of money, plan on bringing roughly 60 EUR for every day you intend to stay in Germany. I don't know how much this is going to be in USD when you finally go, but in the last years it was between 75-100 USD. The flight should be somewhere around 650 USD if oil prices don't change too much and if you go in off-season.

I'm about to be a freshman in high school. Any advice ?!?!?
im about to go to a public school for the first time. i've been at a private school for the last 9 years from K-8 but im scared cuz i have to choose a new outfit everyday. i used to think i hated my uniform but now i appreciate them. im scared im gonna get lost cuz my school has a lot of ppl in it, 600 plus per class. im going to lowell by the wayI'm about to be a freshman in high school. Any advice ?!?!?
OH MY GAAAWD!! I WROTE TOO MUCH!! I'M SOOO SORRY! I'M REALLY PASSIONATE ABOUT FASHION AND CLOTHES AND HIGH SCHOOL! SORRY! JUST BEAR WITH ME!!
Trust me, no matter what you do, somethings BOUND to go wrong. Just don't freak out when it does. I'm going to be a senior in woodrow wilson this year, and it took me a while to get everything down, but everyone's usually friendly. Don't be afraid to ask around when you're lost, or don't know how to work the lockers. stop a random person in the halls and ask for help (not so quiet that they won't hear you. Don't think ';I'll just ask someone else, since he already walked away'; you WON'T ask another person)
High school is basically just a fashion show where everyone gathers to show off their outfits. Everyday, no matter how hard you work on your outfit, there'll ALWAYS be someone who looks better than you (has a better dress, better shoes, better make-up, a better hair-style) It's to be expected with over a thousand kids at the school. DON'T lose self confidence because of that! Because somewhere in that school, you're also looking better than another person. It's all basically about self confidence. Just don't expect to be the prettiest in school, you'll be setting yourself up for failure and you'll be feeling disappointing throughout the day (One time, a bought a new dress, wore it to school, and a friend of mine was wearing that EXACT. SAME. DRESS! And on the same damn day!) About 80% of your morning should be spent on your looks
(Examples would be: Hair, make-up, OUTFIT, shoes, jewelry [earrings, bracelets, necklaces] though jewelry isn't as important as hair, makeup and OUTFIT and can can be skipped) You can never have spend too much time on your look, and be sure to double check yourself in the mirror! The last thing you need is to show up to school with your skirt stuck in your panties! And don't forget to check your teeth for food stuck in them after breakfast!
Make regular visits to the bathroom to check your hair, make-up, and to see if there's anything wrong with your outfit, because sometimes people are too embarrassed to tell you anything and you end up walking around with your hair messed up! ALWAYS check before leaving the bathroom! ESPECIALLY your backside!
Oh, and I don't know what the style is over at Lowell, but in my school, backpacks are SO 3 summers ago! Everyone only carries around purses (large enough to carry a notebook in, not large enough to be, well, ugly.) Make sure the purse is cute! And if you really want a backpack, a plain, jet black one is preferred. This may all seem like a lot of work, but hard work really pays off in the end. You'll be able to walk the halls with pride, and you'll be a lot more self-confident if you actually put time into your look. And the compliments are always awesome too!
Don't forget the lotion! It leaves a feminine fragrance, and it's better than perfume (of course, you can add perfume as well) it leaves a good impression, and highlights your femininity (girls smelling good is only natural-at least that's what guys think!) And other women grow to respect you if you take a considerable amount of time with how you look! It shows that you actually thought twice about yourself before stepping out of the house! They know how hard it is to look good everyday themselves from experience, and hard work is always appreciated.
Just watch out for the jealous types! They'll try to blow off your self confidence with comments like ';Look at her...she thinks she's cute'; But just ignore it, it can't be helped. Nothing you say will make them change their minds, and the jealous types are usually small in numbers. Anyways, you'll find your own style and get used to everything eventually, I personally LOVE fashion, so I guess I got a bit carried away ;pI'm about to be a freshman in high school. Any advice ?!?!?
If anything, you'll get more attention and be more intriguing when people hear you went to private school. It's sort of like an unknown, mysterious world for public school kids that they never get to hear about. As for the clothes thing, just wear some regular jeans and some comfortable casual t-shirts or fitted t-shirts. You really don't need to dress to impress as much as you might think. The ones that do dress like that just draw uncomfortable attention to themselves. Just be yourself is really all you need to do. Be confident, and it's ok to fake confidence if you don't have it. No one will know. Another thing too is that you might get lost, but everyone does anyway, and if you do get lost, it won't last long at all. Don't be afraid to ask one of the older kids or a random teacher where to go if you get lost, believe me, they love to help. Just don't ask anyone that looks like they have a sour attitude and you'll be fine. After anywhere from the first day to the first week, you'll know your way around. The most important thing to know, is that everyone feels the same way you are feeling right now, whether they are in private school or public school or whether they are freshman or juniors. It's not as scary or as hard as you think. Don't worry! High school is fun and you'll realize that soon enough!

Please help!Is there a chatroom for people who want to start there own business, who want to get advice from others?
You could download a program called Paltalk, it is a audio and video chat program. There they have business rooms where people meet to talk about business. Heck they even have rooms for people who are in the stock market stuff. Give it a try and it if is not what you are looking for you can always delete it off your computer.

What advice would you give to some who is Pregnant?
I thought it would be nice to make a list here of hints and tips for pregnancy. Things that you have learnt and wish someone had told you. What advice would you give to some who is Pregnant?
have some YOU time everyday.....dont cross your legs or ankles this causes varicose veins.....do not eat for two this is a myth eat for one and a half.....Morning Sickness.......the best cure i ever found (luckily with first pregnancy) extra strong mints suck one before you get up in the morning (peppermint settles the tummy)
Maternity clothes are over priced over rated and nice designs are too expensive.........just go up in clothes size as you blossom and you will have more choice and they will be comfortable for after the birth. As for lack of sleep in the final weeks put a pillow under your bump and sleep in the recovery position. Walk as much as you can in the weeks leading up to the birth gravity is a great assistant even if you do waddle a little :) start your pelvic excesses now the stronger the muscle the better the pushing :)
Good Luck with Baby !What advice would you give to some who is Pregnant?
when ur sick suck on ice pops, they helped me alot
also it may drag when ur pregnant but time really does fly when they r born(i have 3 kids) so relax and enjoy ur pregnancy
Tell her that it is good...don't scare her as this is normal.
dont get worked up when you go into labour my friend told me to imagine a flower opening sound stupid i know but in those last few contractions it really helped mind you the gas and air helped lol
try and relax and do nothing for at least an hour every day. you don't realise how tired you feel. i wish i had rested more when i was pregnant. if i knew now what i knew then i would have made more time for myself
Don't accept every bit of advice that comes your way, no matter how reputable the source seems. Google everything. Don't fall for any standard practices. Interventionist doctoring is a bad idea. Get a wide variety of books on the topic; don't rely on one person's idea of pregnancy and delivery. Home birth is not a bad idea at all. You can have alcohol; just not very much. Stay as far away as possible from the pregnancy-industrial complex. 'Pre-natal care' is a myth. The hippie-ish sites and books are the most sane ones, in this case. Maternity clothes are poorly made from awful fabrics, so start shopping early and carefully; do not overlook 2nd-hand stores, which will have some imports other people had shipped to them out of desperation. Throw out, rather than passing on, ';What to Expect When You're Expecting.'; (Does anybody really blow air into vaginas, or think baked sweet potato will satisfy a French fry craving?) Invest in ';The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth.'; Do not forget to pay attention to the father-to-be. Etc, etc.
Make sure all your sweets or your craving(snacks)is always stocked up.
(1)There are three simple steps to improving your chance of a healthy, happy pregnancy: eat a nutritious, balanced diet that includes folic acid, limit or ideally eliminate alcohol, and if you smoke, stop....
(2)Even before they are born, babies can see and hear. Your baby hears your voice and the sound of your heartbeat. If you want, you can sing, talk or read to your baby while he is still growing inside you.
(3)Pregnancy fears ....
Pregnancy can throw up lots of new things to worry about. Tests, checks and scans will help to reassure you, but it's natural to want to know you and your baby are healthy and safe.
If you had no idea you were pregnant you鈥檒l also probably be hit with the new-mum guilts (the 鈥極h my God is my baby OK鈥?feeling) 鈥?especially if you were drinking like a trouper (rather than hitting the folic acid) in those first few weeks. But rest assured, despite everything you throw at it your growing baby is a pretty hardy thing in the early stages of pregnancy, and although it鈥檚 not an ideal start, your baby is likely to be fine. But from now on it鈥檚 safer to stick to government guidelines of one or two units of alcohol once or twice a week.
It is pefectly natural to worry, but try to ignore the scare stories in the newspapers and remember that pregnancy is not an illness or a medical condition. If you鈥檙e generally healthy, you鈥檙e not smoking or drinking and you eat sensibly, then the chances are the outcome for you and your baby will be very good.鈥?br>
16 weeks
The results of screening tests will now be through and you will have more blood pressure and urine tests.
18 to 20 weeks
You will be offered another ultrasound scan to check the baby鈥檚 development (this is already current practice in most areas).
25, 28, 31 and 34 weeks
Each visit you will have your abdomen
checked, and have more blood and urine tests.
36 weeks
The position of your baby will be checked 鈥?she should be head-down by now. Again, your blood pressure and urine will be checked.
38 and 40 weeks
More abdomen, blood and urine checks.
The most important advice i can offer is, Enjoy your pregnancy!!!
Sip ginger ale when you have nausea.
Pillows filled with lavender, etc. and heated in the microwave will help with sciatica (back pain) and also help you sleep.
Walk as much as possible-it will make your labour easier.
Hints and tips. 1) when you find out you are pregnant tell your mom first she will be thrilled for you. Let him tell his mom.2) Morning sickness will pass. I promise it will go away. 3)Keep exercising you will feel better and it makes labor easier. 4)When you pack for the hospital don't forget the baby's going home clothes and something for your husband to snack on while you are in labor.5) be happy babies are very special humans and you get to have one. 6) use cocoa butter on your tummy to help with the stretch marks 7) go ahead and take that nap you need some extra sleep. Nothing serious just some little things learned through my own pregnancies.
Read and be informed. Be happy and share the glow with everybody. Act pregnant. Observe the do's and don'ts... and enjoy every moment that you are with your child as he or she begins a new life inside you.
As soon as you start to show, complete strangers will come up to you and give you advice.
don't drink or smoke
the most important one of all is make time to relax and pamper yourself
Take it easy.
Eat well. Green leafy vegetables. Kale is highly nutritious!
Walk moderately everyday if you can.
Stay away from the fattening foods. It's okay to treat yourself once in a while... but it is HARD to lose the baby weight if you gain too much. Just focus on eating well and treat yourself once in a while.
Stay hydrated. Cut out the caffeine and drink plenty of water and watered-down juices (straight juice is full of sugar and is fattening). It helps to keep you energized, prevent bladder/kidney infections, and lessens constipation (a common problem in pregnancy).
Make sure to get your Omega-3's. They're good for your baby's developing brain (especially in the last 3 months of pregnancy) and they are known to help prevent post-partum depression in women if you continue to take either supplements or eat fish after baby is born. A great one is ';Pure Prenatal Omega-3';.
Don't get any more than 1 ultrasound if you can manage that. There are studies that have recently come out that have found a possible link to too many ultra-sounds/sonograms and Autism.
Take your prenatal vitamin everyday.
Take lots of pictures of that growing belly!
I am currently pregnant with my first, and I see so many question on here with people worrying about every little thing, especially in the first few weeks. Especially when people worry that they 'don't feel pregnant' or worry about not being sick enough.
So my advice would be RELAX! Pregnancy is a long journey and parenthood and even longer journey and if you don't chill out a bit it's going to turn you into a nervous wreck!
i know it sounds daft but as my girlfrenid has just said when you go in to labour dont panic thats the most important thing and just remeber that even tho its going to hurt you will have the most perfect boy or girl at the end of it and you will forget about the pain and ever pregnace is diffrent good luck
That not all aspects of pregnancy are fun. Take the time to enjoy the bits that are. I used to love stroking my bump !
When complete strangers ask whether they can touch your stomach (it happens more than you think!) it's fine to politely tell them no.
breath and push!

Any advice for a first time mom as to when the best time of day is to start rice cereal?
My daughter will be 6 months old in two weeks and I will be starting her on rice cereal next week. My doctor told me it really didn't matter what time of day to give it to her first. She said the evenings use to be typical because people thought it would help the baby sleep through the night or because my milk supply is lowest then. Other say to give it in the morning so you can watch for any reactions... Any thoughts and your reasons for those thought would be appreciated. Thanks!Any advice for a first time mom as to when the best time of day is to start rice cereal?
Any time that's conveneient for you. I probably woudlnt' start at bedtime because if baby has a bad reaction you'd be up all night.
But once you're sure she tolerates it, you could switch to bedtime if convenient. Any advice for a first time mom as to when the best time of day is to start rice cereal?
I gave it to my son for the first time at around 5pm. My mother was over and she wanted to see him eat it for the first time. I don't think I'd have felt comfortable giving it to him right before he went to sleep, because I think checking for reactions is important. Other than that, I don't think the time of day matters. I didn't notice my son sleeping any better when having it at night. Now that he's been eating it for a while, I usually give it to him in the early afternoon.
I would start off in the morning to see how she tolerates it. Also I would do this before offering a bottle feeding so she will be more likely to eat it. But once you know that she will not have any reactions you can give her in the morning and at night (breakfast and dinner).
I was advised to start in the AM. Just because if there was a bad reaction. If after you give her the cereal and know shes fine with it,you can start giving it to her at any time of the day.I too noticed no difference in the sleep pattern once I started giving it to her at night time.
Good Luck!
I give my son in the morning and at night now he sleeps in till 10:00 :) its nice lol. During the day my son seem to be more hungry and at night so I just feed him morning and night.
before bed, then she will probably sleep longer or through the night.

I am going to start college soon! Any advice from former or present college students?
Please what ever tips you have to offer will help greatly. Go ahead and share your experience; as it will help me in the future. Thank You for your time!I am going to start college soon! Any advice from former or present college students?
My experience has been somewhat different than most since Ive been able to attend more than one university.
The ugly side... yes, you really need to use your time management skills and get things done. Prioritizing is crucial. Yes you do want to go out and party hardy but you also have to study for that test in calculus; so what do you do?? You have to study because such excuses such as ';the dog ate my homework'; wont work in college. So...Study, read, study, take tests, do presentations, write essays. [The above depend on the classes you take]
On the good side...you'll make some great friends and maybe atend some nice parties (do not overdo it tho). You'll get your degree and have your own career, and most probably will be able to get a nice job once ur done. I am going to start college soon! Any advice from former or present college students?
The first year is usually overwhelming. Be prepared for a lot of homework...having only two major exams that determines your grade (usually) means that you definitely have to study hard...you really have to learn how to budget your time, especially if you plan on having a job or doing some kind of extracurricular school activity....
Really, my best advice is to buy a planner and record all due dates, appointments, etc...it really is a pain when you forget about an exam and end up studying at the very last minute!
If you are dorming I really can't help you there...I've never lived on campus...but I hope some of this helps!
study hard, take notes in class. sit at the front of your classroom and don't be late cause some professors aren't so nice. I am at pace university right now and I have someone I study with for every class i'm taking. and have fun because if you don't you really won't like it. (not to much fun)
