If those who know you best gave you one piece of advice, what might they say & would they be right?

For seven years the closest ones advised me to dump my boyfriend. I ignored them all until I could see they were right. I will listen sooner next time.If those who know you best gave you one piece of advice, what might they say %26amp; would they be right?
stop putting myself and learn to give value to my potential and have self confidence.

i heard that quite a few times already and i think its right, the only problem is i cant bring myself to hold my head up high. i got so many extra baggages. If those who know you best gave you one piece of advice, what might they say %26amp; would they be right?
You're killin' me here man!

The advice would be: ';stop drinking so bloody much!';

They'd be spot on.
they always tell me to have more confidence and to be calm..

and yes, they are right.. i really need to work on those advices!
The accurate advice would be: If you see others mistake, don't be so frank to them.

Yes, I am trying yet my mouth is still frank.
they wouldand have told me to be more outgoing and to go after what i want....and i am starting to listen :)
Move on.
the advice would be: try to do not be so stubborn. Yes they are right
advice: stop being so shy!!!

they would definitely be right
They would tell me to publish a book already!

I'm a bit scared. :-/
They'd say, Chill, man.'; And they'd be right.
Believe in yourself. Yes they would be right
Ok, Thanks for that mate......x Yep your right.......xxx

  • Hi, I need some advice i am due on my period in 3 days but thought i mite be pregnant so did two test which?

came bk positive then did two more that came bk negative so really confused to wat is going onHi, I need some advice i am due on my period in 3 days but thought i mite be pregnant so did two test which?
get a blood test which is 100% accurate.it will show now.good luck!Hi, I need some advice i am due on my period in 3 days but thought i mite be pregnant so did two test which?
Lol, just for the poster above, you DO NOT produce the pregnancy hormone when ovulating. You produce the pregnancy hormone when pregnant, no other time lol.

If you have had a positive test then you're most likely pregnant. I would wait a few more days because it's very early, see if your period arrives and test again. Good luck!
False negatives are more common then false positives so you more than likely pregnant but would get a blood test to make sure. You can have them done at about any Dr's office or hospital.
go see a doctor for blood test..?
hey hun, ovulation makes totally different hormones to pregnancy hormones so it wouldnt be that.

when did u do the first 2 tests, if they were in the morning or when ur urine was quite strong then they could be positive, and then if you did the other two in the afternoon after drinking fluids during the day, it may have diluted your urine and not picking up the slight hormone, do another tomorrow morning and if its pos then ur pregnant, gd luck hunny xx :D
    I think you are pregnant.

It would be easier to answer if we knew if the tests were performed with morning urine or later, during the same days etc.

If the first two tests were more sensitive (such as frer or ept early) they would be positive while less sensitive tests would not be positive yet.

Take the same tests as the first brand (which was positive) with the first morning urine tomorrow. If it positive, you are pregnant.
Wait about another week and take a another test.
Wait to see what happens with your period, first and then if it is late, take another test or go see your gp. Or if you want just book an appointment with you gp anyway x.
It could have been a chemical pregancy.

I attatched a link with further information.
your first 2 could've been positive because of you ovulating which secreats the same hormones as when your pg. and then the 2 neg could be after that.. your best bet is to test again after your period is late

I am trying to be a physician. Can i have some advice on what to expect in the field.?

You don't sound like you've been to college yet. Talk about it after you spend a couple years there.

Expect lots of god complexes, pain with malpractice suits, pain with HMO's, long hours as a resident and in general, lots of struggles with nurses, and lots of benefits from drug reps in the form of free golf, dinners and sports tickets, though I hear some of those things have been cut back by law.I am trying to be a physician. Can i have some advice on what to expect in the field.?
a lot of people expecting you to work miricles

    a lot of overhead costs

    a lot of long hours

    a lot of gross stuff

If you are good you can get a lot of satisfaction out of helping people but it's a lot harder these days to get richI am trying to be a physician. Can i have some advice on what to expect in the field.?
Lots of hard work but it'll be very rewarding in the end. We could sure use more doctors around here! Get in touch with some medical students and seek their advice on how to prepare yourself. Good Luck!
childrens physician? getting puked on, taking rectal temperatures, you know, the norm. lol
    Blood and pain.

Can someone advice what are beneficial jobs in the air force?

My oldest son, 21, is signing with the air force in August. He did not do well at college. Always started off real well but just never had the staying power to keep the grades up. Lost interest. He is an incredible cook. Loves cooking (uses crushed garlic, spices, marinates, pine nuts etc..) I know that may seem quirky. His dad is a chef. He coaches Lacrosse. He loves to work out. I just don't know how to advice him on job selection when he goes for his physical. Any suggestions? Can someone advice what are beneficial jobs in the air force?
If he loves cooking he should go into services.

I am suffering from a fever, sore throat, and pink eye. Any advice on what i should be taking?

You may or may not need treatment for the pink eye. Pink eye can show up when you least expect it, and it is very contagious. There is more than one type of pink eye, and how you treat it depends on the type. If it is bacterial you need antibiotic ointment or drops. There is no particular treatment for viral pink eye. If it is an allergy that is causing your difficulty you may need anti-inflammatories or antihistamines. Frequent hand washing is crucial to prevent spreading the virus or bacteria, depending on which type you have.

For the fever and sore throat, you can take any of the over the counter meds for those symptoms if you want to take those kinds of things - Neo Citran or similar products. Drink plenty of fluids because you are losing fluids because of the fever. Gargle salt water to help the sore throat. Another way to help the sore throat is to sip salty soup, such as cup of soup - easier than gargling salt water.

This link gives basic information about pink eye. Best of luck and I hope you are feeling better soon.I am suffering from a fever, sore throat, and pink eye. Any advice on what i should be taking?
All the advice is right on about seeing an MD for pink eye.

You may have strep throat, causing a fever -

    so get that looked after.

Rest, lots of fluids and warm compresses for the eye.

Be sure to use clean rags each time and wash all your linen and towels.I am suffering from a fever, sore throat, and pink eye. Any advice on what i should be taking?
You need to see a doctor. You probably need some type of prescription antibiotic.
You need to see a doctor about the pink eye. It can be either bacterial or viral, %26amp; while the viral will eventaully wear itself out %26amp; go away, the bacterial variety cn do some damage. Your eyes are too important to take a chance..

How do you find out where to get some advice about a business that is and treating employees unfairly?

the office politics SUCK, the folks higher up can do what they want and those on the ground, just watch. How do you find out where to get some advice about a business that is and treating employees unfairly?
Employees like to throw around the words ';fair'; and ';equitable'; a lot. Keep in mind there is what's Legal (which means you have recourse through govt agencies and the courts) and then there is what's Good Business Practice (where you own recourse is to leave). As far as legal....an employer can do just about anything it wants to do as long as a) they pay overtime for hours over 40 to nonexempt employees, b) honor FMLA, and c) do not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, religion, race, natl origin or physicial ability. In other words, as long as it doesnt violate one of those three primary rules (in which case you do have recourse through the courts and govt agencies), employers can make totally arbitrary, senseless policies (like, say all front line employees must wear green socks while at work) and -- as long as they enforce them consistently -- get away with it.

Forget all about your protestations about what is fair ... in the adult working world, fair is where you buy a corn dog. If their actions are illegal, then call the EEOC. If their actions are ';unfair'; (which is their perogative), exercise your perogative and go find another job.How do you find out where to get some advice about a business that is and treating employees unfairly?
I don't know if the EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) could help, but I bet calling your state's Labor Board would. Check the phone book for the numbers, should be there.
Get used to it, this is life, the ones on the top got there how? Through hard work and dedication or nepotism? Are they there because they their father owns the company? Do you have the same academic skills and work experience they do?

If you are unhappy in your place of work, don't quit, but use the experience you are aquiring now to beef up your resume and keep looking for that job that will make you happy. Life is too short to spend it day in and day out doing something you hate.

Also if you need to go back to school to give yourself an edge in the job market this can be done on-line or through night school. Some companies let their employees go on education leave and even pay 1/2 of their tuition (reimburse upon completion) if the education will benefit your work performance etc.

    Hope this helps.

Another thing you can do is look into the labor laws in your area, make sure you are not being abused, that is a different issue altogether. LOL
Well, you have been asking that age old question. Here's what I could suggest. If its a case of ';unfair'; you probably don't have a leg to stand on. When you mention for example about a suck job manager, the company says ';Oh, its his/her managing style'; - My retort to this was always, ';When does it stop becoming a ';style'; and moves to harassment?'; So, that鈥檚 what you鈥檙e going to have to inspect carefully. To learn the details of what is and what isn't - you can go to the department of labor website (I think its DOL.GOV) or just Google it. Keep in mind, these are guild lines, state laws are the better source for something like this and are one of the few areas where state law can out weigh the Federal Law but only to certain issues not harassment or some other obvious violation. An example of this would be, smoking. In NYS there is NO SMOKING allowed in offices by order of the CITY code but, there is a clause built in that says ';Unless you have your own office and you do not hold meetings in that office'; Something like that would not be found at the department of labor's website or rather, they hold not jurisdiction over it.
There are gov. agencies that protect the rights of employees. Check the disabilities act first.

Check the internet for discrimination. I know there is a law that protects against this. There is a law against discrimination. However, there is also what is called, at will employment. This means that you can be fired at the employers will for no explained reason. Not fair, just is.

One problem...there is also a law that says you should get no punishment for telling about this is you go through the proper channels but unfortunately, this doesn't also work.
You are describing 90% of the companies out there. Unless someone at the company is doing something illegal (discriminating on the basis of age, race, religion; sexual harassment; stealing; etc.), this is business as usual.

If ir bothers you, start your own business or find a new job where the politics and management suck a bit less than they do where you are now. Good luck.
Don't get mad....GET EVEN....work your way to the top !!....
Read your company policies to see if they are being violated

by supervisors. Are you being disrespected ,sexually harassed, dicrimated against? Are you being paid a different

salary for doing the same work as another in your company?

Call your agencies in you area to find out more. We all have

the right to be treated fairly in a working enviroment.
