Here is your chance to help your brothers and sisters in Christ, so they can be overcomers, grow in Him successfully, and not make some of the same mistakes we may have done. So what do you have to give to the group.
I personally want to say to all, do not give in to a season of sin, and disobedience to the Lord. Sin is very destructive , in our lives, the wages are even worse. You will pay dearly for giving in to temptation and the affects can last a life time maybe. Think twice , before you believe the lies of the enemy. If you have , get out as soon as you realize you are on the wrong path. Repent , confess to God your sin, and walk in His grace and love, turn the other direction away from your destruction.To my Contacts and other Christians. What advice would you share with us to help us grow in Him, be our best?
I can only show you what God has revealed to me, thru study, prayer and revelation. There are several wisdom keys to lead us to where we are to be with God. We must know who God is , and we must know who we are in Christ, and of the power God gave to us thru His spirit to overcome sin. We are called not only to love God, but to obey God, that is how we abide in Him and receive protection. We must say Yes to Jesus and No to sin, to all we know to obey, and be studying and praying to know what we dont yet know. Asking God to reveal more to us and He will, and obeying each thing as we know to obey it. WHen we sin, we are seperated from God, even if its only temporary, and for that time, we dont hear Gods voice, till we come back. Dangerous place to be. So, stay in the word , continue to pray, love ppl and obey God. God wants us to learn how to live Kingdom living here, so we are being prepared for Heaven. We must be sure when we hear from the spirit, that it is Gods holy Spirit, and if we live in sin, we will be led astray. OBedience is still the key to blessing and disobedience is still the key to curse.
Walk in the spirit of God, live there, breath there, hunger for more of God and never settle for less than what God has for you. Dont mess with any sin, even if you think its small. Sin is sin. and when you agree to it, you seperate yourself from the protection of God, and soon another sin will come in and another. Walk in obedience with the Lord. If you realize that you did sin, drop to your knees, confess and repent, and be right with God again, and then turn from it and do it no more. Without Gods grace, none of us could be saved, but we cant count on Gods grace to cover willfull, deliberate sin. GOD FORBID was the answer to that huh? yepper.
Always run to God , and away from the devil. Know who it is that is speakin to you, leading you, guiding you. Make no decisions apart from God. Surround yourself with positive, loving Christian ppl, and all of you be in unity and encourage one another in the ways of the Lord. We can wittness to those that dont know God yet, but they dont have to be who we hang with all the time. Many of them seek to destroy what we have from God, and we are to let no man come between us and God. The joy of the Lord is our strength, and if we let nonbelievers rob us of our joy, we have lost the strength we need to get thru these last days with Jesus to victory. Know all things are possible with GOd, Hold on to these scriptures and all of His promises. and LEts all be here for each other. I am making some awesome contacts on here and we are here for each other, just as God said to be. If God has a non believer to send to us, He will do it, and we will be given instruction on what to do . But, we dont have to go out and beat on the head the truths of God to ppl who refuse to hear them, and dont want them. They are Gods to deal with.
Jesus is coming soon, and we have to be fully His or we arent His at all. PRess on dear children of God... HE is with us thru it all and will bring victory if we continue to do it HIS WAY%26gt;To my Contacts and other Christians. What advice would you share with us to help us grow in Him, be our best?
I would say to read Ephesians 6. God's love will overcome!!!

Well I certainly don't have all the answers, but I do have friends and teens who seek my advice in addition to my own young adult children. These are some of the things I have told them.
First and foremost, choose wisely where you put your faith. It should be in the words of God and Jesus, not a Christian model, or one you preceive to be Godly.
Remember that you are not yet all that you will ever be. While few of us are called to bring world peace and awareness, we can start in our churches, our schools, our communities and our own families. If life is handing you a lot of stress and worry, pray for peace at your own dinner table. When you achieve that, expand it to your community.
Sometimes when we pray for ourselves, it is somewhat selfish, instead ask that you can be a blessing to someone else. If you think it is pitiful to eat hamburger when you would rather have steak, remember that someone has nothing to eat. Start in being thankful for what you do have and then share....
We do not start out as saints, but as babes in Christ, do not be afraid to grow. Psalms is wonderful for teaching us what we are and we have to look forward to., Proverbs tells us how to treat our loved ones, neighbors, friends, co-workers. Be as a sponge and absorb everything from God's word. Apply it to your life first, so that you can then share with others.
Do not be afraid to admit you do not know, or that you are not perfect.......it is not over until God calls us home.
I agree with Sassy nurse, Don S. and Reshonda P. as well as the encouragement you yourself stated at the beginning. The words that I would add (I suppose) is to make sure you are putting to work that which the Word is telling you. One cannot ';grow'; if one does not put on the FULL Armor of God, (Ephesians 6:10-18) %26amp; go out %26amp; ';Fight'; with the Sword of Truth that you have been given. How you might ask?...The same way that Don S, has been doing, %26amp; Light Warrior %26amp; others here on this forum %26amp; on Yahoo chat %26amp; other cyber links. Talk with your wife, husband, children, friends, co-workers, people you meet, neighbors..don't hold the ';Good News'; inside your heart..share that magnificent testimony with whomever the Lord brings into your circle of Life and MOST importantly keep ';growing'; in the Word, read %26amp; pray %26amp; LISTEN to the thoughts of others asking the Lord to ';protect'; you against falsehoods %26amp; lies (believing that He will!!) You do NOT have to defend God..He is awesome @ doing that Himself. But you DO have to be ready @ all times to give a REASON for the Hope that lies within YOU...and as Teddy Roosevelt said: ';It is not the critic who counts: not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes up short again and again, because there is no effort without error or shortcoming, but who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends himself for a worthy cause; who, at the best, knows, in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat!'; Jesus Christ IS that WORTHY cause! Dare greatly! Fight valiantly! Help one another, rather than hinder or critize.
If you fall down, get back up, dust yourself off %26amp; keep on fighting, the Prize is well worth it! Pray for another, give to those you see that are in need, whether financially, spiritually, or physically. (Being WISE about it) Don't worry about that drasted speck in your brother's eye..YOU keep YOUR focus on Christ, pray for that brother instead, encourage him rather than critize. Help him in Christ's wonderous love.

It is SO SIMPLE. Yet even as christians we miss it. Prayer and reading the word will make your relationship with Christ grow. As simple as it is, we make it hard. We spend so much time doing other things, that we don't have the time for the two most important things. Just like this site. We are on here, rather than reading his word, or on our knees talking with him. He wants fellowship! He wants that bond between a father and his children. My husband is a pastor and he says it like this. If you spend 2 hours at the ballfield, then give God two hours. If you spend 2 hours watching tv, then give God two hours also. We spend so much time doing other things, that our relationship with the most important person in our life is effected! Bless You!

Do not fall into the trap of trying to gain God's favor by your works or deeds. Do not walk according to the flesh (trying to gain righteousness through the works of the law), but walk according to the spirit (realizing that your righteousness comes from Him).

Spend time alone with the Lord Jesus, enter into His court with praise and thanksgiving. Meditate on His Word taking His promises before Him as you are cleansed and sanctified. Enter boldly before His Thrown and into the holy place of God. Focus on His glory and His presence and then be still and listen for the still small voice as God has many things He wants to say to you. Get your mind off of your busy day allow the Lord to minister to you has you have before Him. He is there, He has a living word just for you. He knows your cares and troubles and He knows how to guide you out of the wilderness unto rivers of living waters and you shall refreshed and renewed in spirit and the glory of the Lord shall shine upon you as it did unto Moses.. You are His Child, His king and His priest.. This is why Christ died, to bring you into divine fellowship with Him..Find time daily that belongs to no one but You and Jesus... You will experience His glory and His love like you have never known....
Walking in the light is a daily expression. We are souls saved by grace, and where sin abounds God's grace abounds even more; however sin is missing the mark, but Gods grace is not to be taken for granted. Temptation is just but a choice to make between good and evil, and the road to hell is paved with good intentions, so make the best choice, and the right choice, it is a daily walk, there are sins of omission and admission. Grow in Gods grace, don't be afraid to let go of the past! The path to God's enlightenment is choosing love above all things.

This is my advice:
How are you going to conquer sin; refrain from being disobedient to the Lord; avoid the destructiveness thereof; know it when you hear a lie of the enemy; and stay off the wrong path?
By trusting Him. How better to trust Him than to claim a promise from Him and remind yourself of it daily? By reading the Bible daily, and reminding yourself of it often during the day?
By trusting Him with that kind of focus we can live our lives with increased faith daily. His Spirit works like God has always worked, always in the presence of faith. And by doing what is prescribed by the Bible, we are susceptible to the workings of His Spirit when we trust Him.
So claim a promise from God's word every day, preferably before you even get out of bed.
My promises today that I claim is this:
Isaiah 12:2
Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.';
I will write this down and keep it in my pocket in case I forget what it was. If I remember, I will speak these words so that I can hear myself say them, and remember that God always keeps His promises.
Romans 10
8 But what does it say? ';The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,'; that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9 That if you confess with your mouth, ';Jesus is Lord,'; and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. 11 As the Scripture says, ';Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.';
The same principle is applied from those verses that continue a Christian through their entire lives. We have to care enough to apply it.
Be obedient to God. Renew our mind in Gods Word daily. Pray first thing in Spirit in the morning to God for a few minutes. Follow after the Spirit throughout the day. This is very necessary to be ready for the rapture. To have oil full in your lamp. But also to not be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Or to be in the wrong place at the right time, because God wants you to help save others.
Weekly hear %26amp; hear the Word preached by gathering together with the Saints. As also before the message is praise %26amp; worship that prepares us to receive from the Holy Spirit who enligtens God message to us. There is a special Church anointing when we gather together %26amp; praise God in unity.
Its great that you want to grow in Christ. First and foremost develop a prayer life spend time in prayer daily don't leave your house before you talk to God. Secondly you need to read and study daily. Don't just read to say you read your bible but take notes and if you have questions ask someone. For me when I was a new christian my hardest temptation was boys. Stay away from people who are not saved. Don't act like they have a disease but you can't really hang out and do the stuff that you used to do before you got saved. Its says in the Bible don't let your good be looked upon as evil. If your constantly with people who smoke weed guess what people think you are doing. You have to fight for your faith when you first get saved the enemy knows that you are weak because you are new to this. Get around some people who know God and his word so that they can keep you up lifted. And be patient God will put you where you need to be when the time comes don't get discouraged.
