Imagine yourself as a child. If you could go back and give yourself advice, what would it be?

Fun question! :)Imagine yourself as a child. If you could go back and give yourself advice, what would it be?
There is so much I would love to have hammered into my own head and not have to wait so long to learn:

* The abuse you were put through was NOT your fault. There's something wrong with them, not you.

* Sex does not mean love.

* Love your time with the people you love, they sadly aren't always going to be in your life.

* Do what makes you happy, don't worry what other people think of it.

* You have to do what is right for you not everyone else.

* You WILL hurt people in your life even when you don't mean to.

* Positive people are great.

* Be the one that talks to the lonely looking person!

* You do have the power to do something.

* Learn to defend yourself early, but use your words instead when you can.Imagine yourself as a child. If you could go back and give yourself advice, what would it be?
hmm in college but i suppose that doesnt make me ineligible for this one ;]

i think i'd say,

avoid your grandparents (theyve cause alot of trouble)

dont let your brother leave

dont let them tell you your ability to do math is fine because it sucks.

finish writing that story and get it on disk because floppies dont work.

and i dont need to tell you this but a friendly reminder stand up for yourself or life will batter you.

go out and party for once in your life because down the road you'll feel like a slave to the needs of others or maybe just the computer screen.

be nice not a doormat.

dont be closed off from others because of fear

invest in gold

take the job at the stock show showing cattle.

ah and dont trust any relative on your mothers side, they are nuts and will give you years of necessary therapy down the rode.

and kicking your cousin in the happy place paid off big he stopped bullying you so get to it the sooner its done the sooner you can read!

then id say i'd be back because i had a bit more experience to gain hey i'm not going to leave old me in the dark about who i may or may not marry!1 what if it was the nasty boy that shoved legos up his nose!!! ewwww

lol
-Suck it up and get the braces. Bad teeth may not matter to you at 11, but they sure will matter to you later. In fact, take better care of your teeth in general!

-Spend more time with grandma and grandpa. Don't take them for granted. Make sure they know how important they are to you.

-Have grandma teach you her secret to the world's best scrambled eggs, or you'll spend many frustrated years unsuccessfully trying to replicate them when she's gone.

-Cut your hair shorter. I know you've had super long hair for as long as you can remember, but you will still be the same person without it. It's just hair. I know you're nervous about letting go of the length you've had all your life, but you will be so happy you did. Don't wait until that awful botched haircut in your early 20s forces you to cut most of it off.

-Don't throw away your pictures of dad. Someday you might want to remember what he looks like, even if you still don't like him.

-Take Milly to the beach more often. She loves it so much. When she's old and blind, you won't be able to make up that time. And when she's gone, you'll wonder why you let something stupid like her mild carsickness stop you from giving her more fun times at her favorite place. And for heaven's sake, take more video of her! When she's a pup, when she's an adult, when she's older...capture it all!

-Be nicer to your little sister. She'll still throw mean stuff you did to her as a kid back at you 15 years later when you actually have a good relationship with her, and even though you were a just a stupid kid at the time, you'll feed bad about it.

-Don't let things people say destroy you. Someday, you'll barely remember their faces, let alone care what they think.
Don't trust your sister one hundred per cent!

If you want to get rid of b*tchy girls always complaining about your looks - yup, b*tchy girls on 3rd grade, where is our world going to? - don't tell a teacher, face them up (but don't beat them).

The biggest remedy of life is your hapiness. It is true that you can change the way you feel with a smile. So stop moaning and complaining - SMILE!

Don't cry your eyes out when you don't get tickets to the backstreet boys concert... They aren't so good, you will enventually find later.

Delete all your silly tunes from your ipod and download some REAL music - The Beatles, Queen, Bob Marley, Led Zeppelin, Chuck Berry, Michael Jackson - but make sure none makes you teary!

NO, George Harrison isn't gross - don't worry, you'll find how gorgeous he is later on.

And the best thing to do to all your troubles and worries is...

You are not the cause of your mother's death. She died because it was time.

Do not take anyone for granted for tomorrow they may not be here.

Learn how to do many things well and you'll never be bored.

Go through the world and not care so much of what other people think.

Be all that you can be. Don't let anything stop you.

Keep positive people around you. Don't let others bring you down.

Do not let your anger suck you in.

Walking the dog is the best form of stress relief.
Just like Corgie Girl, I am still a minor but I still wish I was given advice back then.

1) Stand up for what you believe it, and don't let others bring you down.

2) When mom is upset with Dad, don’t let her comb your hair.

3) Do something when you see others or an animal get hurt.

4) Raise your hand more in class, it is okay if you get some of the answers wrong.

5) If you want to draw on the wall, do it behind the sofa.

6) Keep asking “why” until you understand it.

7) Don't take all of your anger out on your older (and STRONGER) brother

8) Don’t drink anything when you’re upside down.

9) Stay far away from prunes

I'll try to think of more..!
Great Question-

~Don't let the brats down the road get you down(though I did learn that later and they got what for)

~Learn what ';sue'; actually meant

~Learn how to potty train a dog the right way and you wouldn't have lost 2 almost 3 dogs.(listened to parents who said ';spank the snot out of it and it will learn';)

~Don't teach ';yourself'; how to shave your legs when you are 10. lol
- Finish college, you will regret the decision not to for YEARS to come.

- It doesn't matter that those drugs make you happy and feel good for a while, but they will screw your life for a lot longer than you could have ever dreamed.

-make better choices in the guys you date. They are jerks.

ADD: That first jack@ss you will want to marry, well don't bother. He is a drunk and no you can't change him.
Stand your ground. Don't let the bullies bully you.

You have a mouth, use it.

You have a heart, use it.

Know you are worth more than your 'boyfriend' says.

Know that sex does not equal love.

And don't drive the wrong way on a 6 lane highway......for 5 miles.....drunk.....

ADD: You said it mcally! My first husband was a cheating drunk lazy liar.
I don't know if I count since I am still a minor, but I will try to answer.

Don't be intimidated by bullies, they will be fat and have 10 kids in 10 years.

Don't envy the cheerleaders, they have the roughest of lives.
Stay in school, study harder and get into a college right after high school don't wait! Don't be shy around people be out going don't care what people think. I also which I would have dated more as I had plenty of oppertunites with plenty of different people.
I know myself as a child far too well. There is no amount of advice I could give myself that would change a thing. Back then, I knew everything... who didn't? (I wish I knew as much NOW as I thought I did back then...lol)
If I could go back to being thirteen I would tell myself not to have sex with him.
Love yourself or are fine just the way you are
Don't be shy, go and make friends. That would be my advise.
