What is the one piece of advice that was the best you were ever given?

Do not run after two things: a missed bus or LOVE, sooner or later you will catch a new one......lolWhat is the one piece of advice that was the best you were ever given?
sit upright and hold your tummy..What is the one piece of advice that was the best you were ever given?
Always paddle your own canoe!
Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped.
That was from my German boss back ago.

He told me ';Think Big';
it's not the end of the world.
Never take anything for granted.

Life taught me so...
hmmmm

1). dun judge anyone by first impression

2).hold fast to dreams for if dreams dry life is like a broken winged bird that can not fly

3).respect everyone

4).try not to hurt anyone

5).N REMEMBER ME ALWAYS ...HEHEHE
For any big decision or action that needs to be taken I was advised to ';Sleep on it';.
don't be afraid from any one but Allah.

always think before you act and remember that if nobody see what you are about to do Allah sees you .

think about the poor people and thank Allah for what you have.

treat others as you like to be treated.

always say please and thank you :-)

it doesn't matter if you are with your friend in his or her happy times , what matter is that you be there for your friend when he needs you specially in his sorrows.

share what you have with poor people.
it's not a spoken advice actually.....

it's my mom's hugs and tenderness, her kind touches and big heart........this silent advice makes me able to face and resist the cruelty of life and actually more, it makes me able to find my way out to light and mercy, and that tomorrow will be better inshaa Allah, even if it's not !! :-)
Live as if you were going to die tomorrow, learn as if you were going to live forever.
';2akelha wa tawakal';

EDIT:

What is ur advice 7atem ??
it was '; u will gain experience by watching and listening not talking';
';Dig Deep!'; .......... and it came out of no where!
smoke weed

i'm sorry if anyone find that ignorant or offensive in anyway
A friend studying philosophy once advised me to write things down, good things %26amp; bad things. It helps to put the bad things in perspective when you read them at a later date. The good things, like a special occation or meeting, when you read them again it can bring it all back to life for you, if you write well.

This was good advice %26amp; i am lucky that i can write reasonably well, some of the things i've written about, like my travels %26amp; how i have felt at certain times, have helped me to see things in a better way %26amp; know how to deal with them.
hi hope miss you :)

well i have 3 advices that i can never forget i n my life...

1st: never judge people unless u judge yourself ( and no one can truely judge himself)

2nd: respect other's opinion even if u dont like them...

3rd: never tell your disadvantages to others...cuz the ones unseen could be shown after u mention them...
-think slowly before acting

-happiness and sadness r just states of mind

-when u have nothing good to say,then u better shut up!!!
- Don't judge others.

- Treat others like you would like them to treat you.

- A friend lately told me to do what I want (as long as I'm not hurting anybody else) and if they don't like it .... screw 'em!
dont delay your tasks till tomorrow.

dont depend on anyone in doing your tasks.

dont take revenge, God rewards and punishes in His own way.

dont blame yourself with IF , once an action is taken take the consequences , good or bad.

always say, la hawla wala quwata ella billah, ma sha allah , subhaan alah, la illaha illa allah, hasbiya allah ., and God will guard you.
dont wait for anyone to care coz no one care
';If you ask a stupid question, expect to get a stupid answer';.

My step father (who was a bit of a smart alec) used to always say that to me as a kid - after giving me a stupid answer - and I actually think it was the worst advice an adult ever gave me. It was very confusing! But I persisted in asking ';stupid questions'; (as you do - to learn, of course)... and eventually learned that he was an idiot and it was a funny way to tick him off and make him look like an up-himself stupid-head... because he just didn't know any smart enough answers. And so I grew up to be more selective about who I ask questions to..... UMMMM, what am I doing here??? LOL!!! just kidding - love you all for being here for fun Q%26amp;A's :) xxx
It was an advice given to me by a greek guy.. and it saved my life and the lives of 18 other people I was responsible for.
